a family session with a surprise twist! Laura Hollander Photography- Grand Ravines North Park, Jenison MI

This golden hour family session ended with a HUGE surprise!!

I was so excited to meet this little family of three! I usually schedule as many sessions in Grand Rapids as I can fit into one weekend and Kaitlyn contacted me in August to book this spot! I met them at Grand Ravines North Park for a golden hour session. The sky was spectacular and the fall colors were stunning.

We walked and played and I captured tons of smiles!

As I was walking with them back to their car I asked if there were any shots that we did not get that she may have wanted. Jhossymar then said, “Yes, can we get one more?” I turned to look at him to find him ON ONE KNEE! OMG– it was a true surprise proposal for everyone involved- including ME!

Thankfully I was able to grab my camera and quickly get Kaitlyn’s reaction! SHE SAID YES! What an awesome way to end the evening! Their family session turned into a mini engagement session and I could not be happier about it! CONGRATS you three!

This sweet baby boy slept like an absolute dream for his session — we captured the coziest sleepy smiles, a perfect little yawn, and even a few bright-eyed moments.

I’m now shooting in a new space in Conroe, Texas, where we can create warm, snuggly lifestyle images and beautifully styled posed prop portraits — truly the best of both worlds.
