Hello there…
I'm Laura: a wife, mother of three, a photographer, creative, designer, seamstress, painter, cook, "retired" high school art teacher.... if it can be created with your hands, I'm probably a fan!
I'm a graduate from Kendall College of Art Design in Grand Rapids, MI and have been taking photos professionally since 2006.
My husband and I started out in Grand Rapids, MI and have lived in Houston, TX, Beloit, WI, Battle Creek, MI and are currently moving back to the Houston area Summer 2022!
We live in Montgomery, TX but I am happy to serve all of North Houston: Montgomery, Magnolia, The Woodlands, Conroe, Spring, and Tomball, TX.
I specialize in newborn, family and senior portraits. I love to focus on moments over posed photos and I'm a pro when it comes to working with your kiddos. More play and less standing in lines!

Frequently asked questions
- How far in advance should I book my ______ session?
My availability varies at different times of the year- but for most family sessions 4-6 weeks is a great time to fill in my contact form to get on my calendar.
If you are looking for a specific location (ie the lakeshore, personal property, something more than 20 miles away) contact as soon as possible to confirm your date and time.
- How long will it take to receive my gallery?
My turnaround time is 2-3 weeks, again, this depends on the time of year and how many sessions I have in my editing cue! I like to post sneak peek photos to my Instagram and Facebook stories so that you have something to see prior to receiving your gallery!
- I have no idea what to wear! Can you help me?
YES! I would love to help you come up with clothing for your session. I send a getting ready to ALL of my clients upon booking with me. I will list items to stay away from, and how to coordinate clothing for a large or small group, things to think about in relationship to your location and the season, etc. I frequently have clients text or email me photos of their wardrobe prior to their session so we can discuss changes etc.
