By now, most of you in Lakeview have probably seen the Ouellette family on the cover of Lakeview Living. I so enjoy getting out and meeting new families in the Battle Creek area. It feels like a much closer-knit community for me now. So many people in Battle Creek that I’ve met were born and raised here- it is easy to feel like an “outsider” when you move to a new town. I’m so thankful for my team with Lakeview Living for asking me to be their featured photographer. It’s been such a blessing to be part of this publication!
With each family session, I do a “mini” session- which actually turns into a full session in most cases because we chat and I get carried away shooting… The magazine editor usually chooses her favorite 7 images, but there are many more in the gallery. I cannot wait to share some of the unpublished photos with you!
The Ouellette’s session was one of my first where we were not completely frozen stiff. Although it was cold (you can see the snow in some of these photos) the sunlight makes these images feel so warm! These were taken shortly after the time change, giving us a little more wiggle room in the evening for warm light. Please enjoy some of my favorites that may not have been featured in the magazine!:)
