I’ve known Sara since middle school, and I was broken-hearted when I found out that she had had Isabel prematurely, that she was stuck in the NICU for months on end with multiple surgeries and seemingly many unknown health concerns. BUT, I’m SO thrilled that Isabel is FINALLY home!!! I wanted to bless this family in some way, so I’m glad I was able to come and meet Izzy and take some sweet photos of her without all of her tubes! It’s nerve-racking for any parents to take a new baby home, but especially so when your babe is born prematurely. That being said- Sara and Tim are ROCKING it! At one point I said, “Oh, she has a little snotty…” To which Sara responded, “Tim, snot- we need a 2×2.”– “2×2, I’m on it!” I thought I was in an operating room or something! LOL. The last image in this post was taken while I was chatting with Sara and she was feeding Isabel. She has a little port on her tummy and they give her milk through a syringe and tube- directly to her stomach! Thank GOD for modern medicine and all that Isabel’s doctors were able to do for her!
