Family portraits in Battle Creek, MI

THIS little family was perfection to photograph.  We met at Riverside Park in Battle Creek while golden hour was in full swing.  I just love the light at this park in the evening, which is why I chose to hold one of my fall mini session dates here.  At this point in my life, with a new baby and two young kiddos, I just believe in not over-complicating things.  The light is gorgeous, there are beautiful trees, grassy fields for texture and space for kiddos to run.  I’m so looking forward to meeting some families there on October 5.  (there are a few appointments left, so book now, if you have not! ;))

Little River was a classic toddler: not wanting to stop moving, absolutely not going to pose, and so full of personality!  What a joy!  The three of them just played and chased and laughed through the whole session which made my job so easy and fun.  I love capturing peoples’ natural smiles and joy as they play with their kids.  Such a good reminder as I get into this busy fall season ahead- remember to smile and not stress!  This particular session was under 30 minutes and I had so many fun captures!
