So, I’ve lived in Houston for 5 years.  Being a photographer has forced me to travel and get to know the surrounding area (Houston= urban sprawl).  Back home, in Grand Rapids, (yes, I still call it home) I LOVED shooting downtown~ there are so many great, rustic buildings and textured backgrounds that photographers swoon over.  Here, in the Woodlands, everything is so shiny and new.  I’ve found my fave spots to shoot, like Old Town Spring, Tomball, The Waterway, and Hermann Park.  Yet, I never felt like I had a great URBAN spot to shoot.  It wasn’t until Jennifer called me, saying, “I love the urban photos on your site!  That’s what I want!” that I “stumbled upon” (aka asked my photog friends, thanks Ashley and Ashley 😉 ) downtown Conroe.  Anywho, I’m thrilled with these photos!  Y’all are such a beautiful family!
